Dr. Brion Long, D.M.D., M.S.


Dr. Brion Long graduated with Honors from Oregon Health and Science University. Following graduation, he served as the Dental Director of La Clinica del Valle, which is Southern Oregon‘s largest public health care facility. As Dental Director, he was responsible for managing multiple dental clinics that provided care to the most underserved population. During his tenure there, Dr. Long completed over 6000 procedures on pediatric patients. Moreover, he was actively involved in many leadership roles, including serving as Co-President of the Northwest Regional Primary Care Association (an organization comprised of over 1200 physicians and dentists), as well as serving as a member of the Steering Committee that developed policies for the California Primary Care Association.

Dr. Long furthered his education by completing a three-year orthodontic residency at the University of Florida in 2009. During his residency in the dental speciality of orthodontics, Dr. Long conducted benchmark mixed-dentition research for Align Technology, the manufacturer of Invisalign. He is a member of numerous dental organizations, and served as adjunct faculty at Oregon Health and Science University, as well as Oregon Institute of Technology.

Dr. Long also is an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Florida’s College of Dentistry. He is an outdoor enthusiast, enjoys traveling, college sports, and dental mission trips. Dr. Long is excited to bring his patient-centered philosophy to the greater Tallahassee area.


Dr. Timothy Vola


Dr. Vola graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University (SIU-SDM). He first pursued a General Practice Residency at the University of Texas/San Antonio and later completed his Pediatric Residency at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Dr. Vola has practiced Pediatric Dentistry in Thomasville and Tallahassee for more than 20 years. He has also enjoyed teaching over the years at SIU-SDM, in Thomasville GA and here in Tallahassee.

Dr. Vola and his wife, Stella are active members of the Tallahassee Dog Obedience Club and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America. Former Young Actors Theatre (YAT) parents, they continue to enjoy local theatrical productions.


Meet Dr. Sheppard, D.M.D.

Dr. Stanley Sheppard graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. degree in Pharmacy. Following active duty in the Army as an Armor officer, he received his doctorate degree from the University of Alabama. He then completed his pediatric specialty training at Children’s Hospital, University Hospital, and the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

Dr. Sheppard is an active member of First Baptist Church in Tallahassee, and the Tallahassee Downtown Rotary Club.

He has practiced in Tallahassee many wonderful years, and has always kept up with the latest advancements in patient treatment. Dr. Sheppard’s foremost priority is to give each child individual attention and comprehensive care.


Meet Dr. Baty

Julia Baty was born and raised in Tulsa, OK. Coming from a strong family dental background, she naturally wanted to be a dentist since 12 years old. She graduated the University of Oklahoma and moved to Florida to pursue her career in dentistry. Dr. Baty graduated from LECOM School of Dental Medicine. Moving back to Oklahoma, she served as a civilian dentist with a Native American Hospital. Dr. Baty is excited to be back in Florida to serve the Tallahassee community of all ages. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, spending time with her friends and family, traveling, going to concerts (favorites: Florida-Georgia Line and Backstreet Boys), reading, involvement at church, and going on walks with her long-haired chihuahua, Zeebee.
